Hello everyone,
I’m Emma Tinker, and I’m really pleased to introduce the newly formed Limpsfield Chart Residents Association.
Many of you will already know us as the team behind the much-loved Chart Fair. Over the years, that small committee has done a fantastic job bringing the community together for one brilliant afternoon each summer. But it started to feel like there was an opportunity to do more.
So, we’ve taken the step to evolve into a formal Residents Association — something that gives us a bit more structure, but also much more flexibility.
Our aim is simple: to represent and promote the interests of everyone who lives on Limpsfield Chart, to support and strengthen our community, and to help protect the character of this very special place.
Of course, some things won’t change. The Chart Fair, held each June on the Limpsfield Chart Cricket Pitch, remains at the heart of what we do — a proper community day with stalls, games, entertainment and (always a highlight!) the dog show. And our weekly Coffee Mornings every Wednesday from 10–12 continue to grow as a lovely way for neighbours, friends and family to get together over coffee, cake and a chat.
But becoming a Residents Association means we can also explore new ideas — whether that’s events, initiatives or ways to support the community — if there’s interest and energy to make them happen.
Come and meet us
To kick things off, we’re hosting an informal Meet & Greet at the Limpsfield Chart Cricket Club on:
Thursday 23 April 2026
6:00 – 7:30pm
It’s a chance to meet the committee, find out a bit more about what we’re doing, and — importantly — share your ideas. We’ll also be starting to brainstorm this year’s Chart Fair, so if you’ve ever thought “they should have…” or “I could help with…”, this is the perfect moment to get involved.
Refreshments will be provided, and absolutely everyone is welcome.
This is very much a community effort — and the more people who get involved, the better it will be.
We’d love to see you there.
Emma
